Houghton International Horse Trials

Our pony club was honoured to be invited by the organisers of Houghton International Horse Trials to send 2 teams, one at 80cms and and one at 90cms, to a pony club team showjumping event.

This is the first year we have been invited.

The venue and atmosphere were superb and the weather was extremely kind, if not a little too hot, but the ground was perfect going.

The courses proved testing - leaving our 80cm team just out of the placings, finishing on 12 faults and the 90cms team with a fifth place. They finished on 12 faults too.

The teams were;

80cms - Victoria McIlwraith, Katie Cameron, Phoebe Plumb, India Griffin Jenkins

90cms - Abi Scott, Lizzy Barr, Annabel Molyneux, Cleo McGregor

Everyone agreed it was a wonderful opportunity and are definitely hoping to have another invitation next year.
