Pony Club Showjumping at Burghley

As ever the prestigious Burghely Horse trials hosted the Pony Club Showjumping and our team did us proud on what turned out to be a scorching hot day.

Three team members were experiencing this event for the first time.

The course was big and testing as we would expect and only 2 teams finished on 0 points.

Our first and most experienced rider Jessica Quinlan on Billy McDuff produced a solid round, with just 4 faults at the second.

Our next competitor was Sophie Levin on Tigger, finished on 8 faults, riding a confident round.

Amy Stone on Tomagotchy, after having a tough time in the warm up, rallied round to produce a flawless clear.

Finally Lizzy Barr, with no pressure from the commentator, had some problems at the treble, but stayed collected, showing a maturity beyond her years to finish on 12 faults.

The team finished on 12 faults, with a final placing of 7th place, which was excellent, and a reflection of what a tough course it was this year.

Well done all of you! This bodes well for next year!
